Hi there! Thanks for your interest in lil' old me.

I figured as the admin of this site, it would be nice for people to know a little bit about me and why I decided to undertake this venture. So, why did I decide to brute-force a website about a 20 year old game that no longer exists in its original form? To be honest, I didn't have a lot of interest in the history of Livly until fairly recently; I knew that it was a web game that had been shut down shortly after the switch to HTML5, but that was the extent of my knowledge. What spearheaded my search for information on Livly Island Classic was a short set of 13 images, the slideshow that was presented to users after the original website closed down on December 26, 2019. I'm a sucker for pets, and the idea of these beloved pets waiting indefinitely to see their owners again really got me. I feel that, in a small way, I'm able to preserve the memory and history of this game by documenting it here for users overseas to enjoy, which brings me to my second reason; there are no english websites (that I could find) which have reliable and bountiful information about Livly Island Classic.

I am not fluent in Japanese and am relying heavily upon built in translation features and dictionaries in order to gather information and perform my research. Now, for the less humble part, which is some fun facts and information about me.

I have no training in code or web design. This is "baby's first website".
I started playing Livly Island in April of 2022.
Black Dog is my favorite species of livly and I have a 2005 Black Dog plush.
Livly Island has helped me start my journey in learning Japanese.
I like to read historical-fiction and autobiographies.
My favorite kinds of music are Bossa Nova, Jazz, and Kankyou Ongaku.
